Vimto would thrive in a quiet adult-only home with no children or visiting children, as sudden movements and loud noises can make him feel uncomfortable. He is nervous when meeting new people but responds well to gentle encouragement and understanding. Vimto must live with a calm, well-mannered dog that shares a similar play style, as he enjoys the occasional chase and displays typical Collie behaviours during play. Although he appears more confident in the presence of another dog, he is equally happy doing his own thing and would suit a canine companion who is not overly dependent on interaction. With patience, consistency and plenty of reassurance, Vimto will make a rewarding companion for someone who understands that earning his trust is a journey worth taking. Vimto is a sensitive and extremely nervous three-year-old Border Collie who is looking for a calm, patient and understanding family willing to help him build confidence at his own pace. He is a very withdrawn boy initially and takes time to trust new people, preferring to observe from a distance until he feels safe. Once a bond has been formed, Vimto's affectionate nature shines through and he will happily seek out cuddles, leaning into you for comfort and reassurance. He is particularly vigilant when out and about and feels most secure in familiar, enclosed spaces. New experiences can be overwhelming for him, so he benefits from being allowed to investigate things independently and in his own time. Vimto craves human companionship once he trusts someone and will need a home where any time spent alone can be introduced very gradually.
