Meet Jim – A Gentle, Independent Soul Looking for a Calm Home Jim is a sweet gentleman with a sensitive and thoughtful nature. He’s a quieter boy who prefers to take life at his own pace and would suit a calm, understanding home where expectations are gentle and routines are predictable. Jim can be shy around handling and physical contact, especially with unfamiliar people. He’s happiest when given space to approach in his own time and does best with low-pressure interactions. Once trust begins to build, he shows curiosity and interest in the world around him, choosing to explore and sniff the world around him. Out on walks, Jim enjoys getting out and about and loves investigating new environments. He can be unsettled indoors at first but benefits greatly from consistency, patience, and a steady routine to help him feel secure. His clever little brain is always working, and gentle enrichment and calm exploration will help him settle and feel comfortable in his new home. Jim is looking to be the only pet in the home, where he can fully settle in and build his confidence at his own pace. Once he feels secure and established in his new environment, he would be happy to enjoy calm walking companions. He does enjoy sharing sniffing adventures, but prefers steady, well-mannered dog friends rather than excitable or overly playful types. He would be best suited to an adult-only home that understand that Jim needs space and quiet time to feel safe. Visiting older children would also need to be calm and respectful. He has shown some sensitivity around having his harness on, so adopters will need to continue slow, positive introductions to things like harnessing and grooming, building trust gradually and kindly. Jim is looking for a special home that will appreciate his gentle nature and give him the time he needs to settle. In return, you’ll gain a loyal companion who enjoys peaceful walks, quiet company, and sharing life’s little adventures by your side. Published:
