Murphy is a wonderful boy with a loveable personality and a passion for an adventure. A friendly and confident older chap, he absolutely thrives on human company and loves making new friends wherever he goes. Affectionate and full of character, Murphy is always ready to greet people with a wagging tail and plenty of enthusiasm. Don’t let his age fool you, Murphy still has lots of energy and a real zest for life. He is a super smart boy who is responding brilliantly to training and clearly enjoys learning new things. He would love a home that can continue building on this, giving him plenty of opportunities to use his clever mind. Like many Cockers, Murphy loves to keep busy and would really benefit from owners who are keen to get involved in gundog-style retrieve games, scent work, and other enrichment activities. These kinds of brain games are a fantastic way to channel his natural instincts and help tire out his busy mind as well as his body. Murphy enjoys getting out and about on his walks, taking in all the exciting sights and smells around him. He has can be playful with other dog friends and may be able to share his home with a well-matched canine companion following successful introductions at the centre. As he settles into his new home, Murphy will need ongoing support and guidance to help him adjust to a new routine and learn how to fully relax in a home environment.
