Adopt Wilt, cream male French Bulldog for adoption at Hope Rescue, Pontyclun

About Adopt Wilt

Wilt is a 7-year-old French Bulldog seeking an adult-only, pet-free home. He's active and curious, loving sniffy walks and socializing with other dogs outdoors. However, he prefers being the only pet at home and needs owners who are around most of the day due to separation anxiety. Wilt enjoys cuddles and attention but can be overwhelmed by visitors. He needs ongoing guidance with resource sharing and is still learning house training cues. Best suited for a quiet household with patient, consistent owners who work from home. The shelter's behavior team provides full support.

Meet Wilt — our 7-year-old French Bulldog with a big personality packed into a compact little body. Wilt is an active, curious chap who loves getting out and about for adventures. Sniffy walks are his absolute favourite he enjoys taking in all the scents and is sociable with other dogs when he’s out and about. While he’d prefer to be the only pet in the home, he’s more than happy to have doggy walking buddies to share his explorations with. Wilt is looking for an adult-only, pet-free home where life is fairly calm and predictable. He can find visitors in the home a little overwhelming, so a quieter household with few guests would suit him best. Once settled, Wilt is an affectionate and loving boy who will happily hop onto your lap for cuddles and offer plenty of kisses in return. Wilt is hoping to find adopters who are around for much of the day, as he can struggle when left alone. He loves being involved in whatever his people are doing and will happily appoint himself as your little supervisor! If you work from home, don’t be surprised if he occasionally pops up to desk height to check in and remind you he’s there - he does enjoy a bit of attention. Wilt will need ongoing guidance around sharing his resources, as this can be tricky for him at times. He’s also still polishing up his house training, but he’s learning to give cues when he needs to go out and is making lovely progress. With patience, consistency and kindness, he will continue to thrive. Wilt may have a few areas where he needs a little extra understanding, but in the right home he will be an incredibly rewarding companion, entertaining and full of character. Our dedicated behaviour team will provide full support and guidance to help Wilt and his new family every step of the way. If you’re looking for a devoted little shadow with plenty of love to give, Wilt could be your perfect match. Published: 5th March, 2026 Author: Katrina Hyde Otis is
