About Ava

18-04-26 Ava is a super sweet girl who has come into our care from a breeder in search of a new start. She can be a little shy at first, but it doesn’t take long for her to warm up. Before you know it, she is seeking you out for kisses and enjoying a gentle fuss. At the moment, Ava is feeling a little less brave and is finding comfort in the company of her kennel friends. We feel it would be best for her to be rehomed with another dog for support and companionship, as she is not yet confident enough to be an only dog. The presence of a kind, confident resident dog will help guide her and give her the reassurance she needs as she settles in and finds her paws. As Ava has never lived in a home before, she will need to learn all about house training, lead walking, and other basics of home life. She is able to walk on a lead but this is very new to her and so she will benefit from continued practice and patient guidance to build her confidence. Ava is a gentle, affectionate little girl who clearly enjoys human company once she feels safe. With the support of another dog and a patient, loving home, she will continue to grow in confidence and become a wonderfully loyal companion. Ava has visited our vets and unfortunately did have to have her right eye removed as this was a micro eye and was quite sore, but she is recovering well. She also had a cherry eye repaired in her left eye which will need ongoing monitoring, as it may require further veterinary attention in the future. She arrived with sore lip folds and these will need regular cleaning going forward. She has a travel document. This dog can be homed with a resident dog.
