Adopt Carolina (w)

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Puppy · 4 months

Over 150 puppies at the public shelter Botosani ‼️ Rain, cold, overcrowding - and lots of hope for a better life At the public shelter in Botosani (Romania) there is a state of emergency: Over 150 small dog souls are sitting there, cramped together, shivering and wet. Continuous rain, icy nights, little protection - this can be life-threatening for puppies. That's why we have no time for long individual presentations - it's a matter of life and death. Quick help saves lives. 💫 One of these little fighters is CAROLINA, about 4 months old, with a heartwarming look, a curious nose and a lot of mischief in her head. She will be at most medium-sized - but her desire for a safe place in life is huge. ✨ End of the road for a happy ending? Very gladly! CAROLINA is looking forward to a dog bed full of love, including a snuggle blanket. CAROLINA brings everything that a real puppy is: 🐾 A passionate toy destroyer, 🐾 A fitness trainer with an inbuilt motion sensor, 🐾 A heartbreaker, shredder, clown, comforter - and sometimes also a little nuisance with a big heart. But we'll tell you honestly (and with a wink): 🐾 Puppies are not house-trained, 🐾 they cannot be left alone yet, 🐾 and they will turn your life upside down in a charming way - with puddles, pee and cardboard remnants. But I can promise you one thing: No matter if I am a heart with a safety distance, a little rascal or something in between - I will definitely mess up your life. Whether gentle or fiery - I'm ready for my adventure. Are you? 📦 All puppies travel: ✅ multiple dewormed ✅ vaccinated ✅ microchipped ✅ treated for fleas ✅ with EU pet passport ✅ with official documentation papers ✅ rehomed through TNH Casa Katharina e. V. (including 📩 Contact: or simply via Facebook private message.

V. (inkl. About Carolina (w)

What life with Carolina (w) looks like

Carolina (w) is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. in Nürnberg.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Carolina (w), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Carolina (w)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Carolina (w) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Carolina (w) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Carolina (w) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Carolina (w) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Carolina (w) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
