Adopt Darcy

Female · Young · 3 years

Darcy isn’t a fan of being left alone so she would like a home that will be around most of the time, and will build up time left gradually and at her pace. Darcy is a little on the chunky side and being the breed she is, it’s important they don’t carry too much extra weight, so she does need to lose a few kilos, she would need to be a diet in the new home and continue this until she’s at her desired weight, as in the long run this will make her so much more comfortable. Overall Darcy is a really loving, affectionate girl, she wants a home where she is going to be the centre of attention, be surrounded by all her toys and get all the love and cuddles. She really is an amazing girl who deserves her perfect forever home! Darcy is a super lovely little lady, she can take a little time to warm up to new people but once she knows you she loves a cuddle and receiving all the attention. She can live with children age 14+ as she can be quite sensitive and does take a while to warm up. Darcy needs to be the only dog/pet in the home as in her previous home she was showing guarding behaviours, and wasn’t keen on sharing the love around the other dog. She can walk with dogs out and about but she isn’t a super social girl, she definitely prefers being around people. She is a typical dacsy and can be quite vocal when seeing other dogs out and about and when meeting new people initially. Darcy is currently in foster and doing really well, she can have a shout when people pass the windows and if the postman comes, but she is easily distracted, especially if a toy is involved!. She would ideally like to be in a home that doesn’t have too much activity going on outside, and a box outside for the post rather than a letter box. Darcy absolutely loves her toys, and going for shorter walks out and about, but she does prefer to walk at quieter times during the day.
