Once she gets to know someone, she can turn into a cuddly lapdog and loves affection. She is selective about her canine companions, preferring male dogs over female ones. Ideally, she would love to lead a life as a solo princess in the future. Due to her age, she has had one or two health issues, suffering from arthritis and spondylosis, for which she receives pain medication. Additionally, she suffers from kidney insufficiency and requires special food. For some reason, Elsy is afraid of tile flooring and prefers the outdoor area of the animal shelter over the indoor space. She dislikes being confined. Therefore, it would be ideal for Elsy if she could live in a house with a securely fenced dog-friendly garden, where she can freely choose whether she wants to go inside or outside.
