Ernesto is looking for a home with loving and active adopters who can take him on sniffy adventures, who will take the time to help him settle in and give him all the love and attention he deserves. He is a friendly bean who absolutely adores people, so could live with older primary school children who are comfortable with larger dogs who like to lean, who will play nicely with him and give him space to rest when he needs. Ernesto could live with a calm and polite dog who will happily co-exist and engage in occasional play, this will be pending successful meets at the centre. Living with a dog is not a necessity, he would be happy with polite and friendly walking buddies. He has a little training under his belt, he loves his food so can be encouraged to engage in training with the help of a tasty treat. He would like a home with a private or communal garden to have a potter around and play in. Ernesto does settle nicely as long as he has some fun enrichment and a comfy bed to cuddle up on, so could be left for up to 4 hours, any leaving time would need to be built up slowly once he has had time to settle into his new home. Ernesto will need to meet his adopters a few times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet him within 48hrs of being shortlisted. Meet Ernesto, cuddle extraordinaire! He is a 5 year old Lurcher with a heart of gold and eyes full of love. He likes to go exploring out on walks, he hasn’t really figured out toys yet, but loves a game of chase with his favourite people. His favourite thing is the world is a good snuggle, he loves a head and neck scratch and if you are sitting on the sofa, be prepared for the best cuddles of your life with the cutest lap dog.
