Again we were allowed to welcome a puppy throw. The seven small new additions were discovered together with their mum and another sibling in the field. Their finders decided to adopt the mum as well as a puppy, but the remaining seven puppies did not find any space and therefore moved into the PLACE for STRAYS. But the little one suddenly didn't feel good. They got severe diarrhea and we had to take them to Faro. There the diagnosis came: Parvo virus positive. A word that draws the floor under our feet every time – because Parvo is highly contagious, very dangerous and life-threatening for young puppies. Lily fought for her life together with her siblings at the clinic. Unfortunately, not all of them managed, but Ginny was fortunately restored.

Wieder durften wir einen Welpenwurf bei uns willkommen heißen. Die sieben kleinen Neuzugänge wurden gemeinsam mit ihrer Mama und einem weiteren Geschwisterchen im Feld entdeckt. Ihre Finder entschieden sich, die Mama sowie einen Welpen zu adoptieren, doch die restlichen sieben Welpen fanden keinen Platz und zogen somit im PLACE for STRAYS ein. Doch den Kleinen ging es plötzlich gar nicht gut. Sie bekamen starken Durchfall und wir mussten sie sofort in die Tierklinik nach Faro bringen. Dort kam die Diagnose: Parvo-Virus positiv. Ein Wort, das uns allen jedes Mal den Boden unter den Füßen wegzieht – denn Parvo ist hoch ansteckend, sehr gefährlich und gerade für junge Welpen lebensbedrohlich. Lily kämpfte zusammen mit ihren Geschwistern in der Klinik um ihr Leben. Leider schafften es nicht alle, doch Ginny wurde glücklicherweise wieder gesund.
