Adopt Hi, I'm Agnes

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 1 year

I’m a big, soft-hearted girl with an even bigger love for cuddles. I’m a Great Dane mix breed with lovely flappy lips—and I’ve definitely got the big, gentle heart to match. I’m still quite young at heart, a bit of a big baby really. I love to play, I love to snuggle, and I give the best face licks (you’ve been warned!). When I feel comfortable, I’m very affectionate and full of goofy, sweet energy—but I can take a little time to show that side of myself. I can be a bit shy and unsure when I first meet new people, so I need gentle, patient humans who will let me come around in my own time. Once I feel safe and settled, my soft and loving personality really starts to shine through. I’m looking for a calm, quiet home where I can build my confidence slowly, with kindness and understanding. A secure garden would be lovely for me so I can enjoy some safe exploring, and I’ll never say no to a steady supply of treats—they really help me feel more comfortable too! Because I’m a larger girl, I’d be happiest with people who understand big dogs and are confident handling them with care and kindness. Older children (14+) would be best for me, as long as they understand I may need space at first. When it comes to other dogs, I can make friends, but I need proper introductions and time to adjust. I would also be happiest as the only dog in the home so I can fully relax and build my confidence. I enjoy playing and will chase toys when I’m feeling playful—it’s when my silly, sweet side really comes out. Ideally I’m looking for a home within a 60-minute drive of the centre (PE20 2BB, Boston), as home visits will be needed. We can be flexible for the right match, so please still apply if you’re a little further away. So… if you’re someone patient, kind, and understanding who can help a shy girl grow in confidence and learn that the world isn’t so scary, I think I might just be your perfect companion.
