Adopt Jaxon

Male · Senior · 9 years

Jaxon is a sweet boy; he can be timid initially and then warms up to you with time and treats on offer. However, he met our Maintenance Operative for the first time today and went straight up to him to enjoy a fuss. Jaxon enjoys snuggling up on the sofa with the people he has a bond with. He enjoys playing a game of tuggy with you, and puzzle toys that involve nice, tasty treats. Jaxon would enjoy and benefit from mental stimulating activities to keep his clever brain sharp. How about scent games? When it’s a sunny day and you’re spending time in the garden, Jaxon likes to be out with you sunbathing on the lounger. Jaxon is happy to walk in new locations, and his favourite spots include fields, beaches, and woods. Jaxon is not keen on bigger dogs, and would rather socilise with small, calm dogs. His favourite treat is chicken, and he knows a sit, wait, and paw. Home requirements: Say hello to Jaxon the nine-year-old Lakeland Terrier cross Jack Russell! He could share his home with teenage children. He could potentially share his home with another calm; similar sized dog pending a successful meet and mix here at the centre. He will need a home without cats and small furries and care maybe needed around livestock. Jaxon would rather have company and any time left alone will need to be built up gradually. He is housetrained. He travels well in the car. Jackson can get over-excited with visitors to the home, and we can show you how to manage this. He could cope with a reasonably busy household in a quiet area; he may have a bark at any noise going on outside. Jackson will need regular grooming and since he is sensitive having his paws and face touched, he will need an experienced groomer. Available at Ilfracombe, Ilfracombe
