Adopt KIRA

Mixed Breed · Male · Senior · 11 years

KIRA is looking for a loving home! 😊 KIRA is a female dog about 11 years old and weighing around 35-40 kg. She is nice and very positively oriented towards people - especially when it comes to tasty treats, which she has a clear weakness for. She could live with a gentle male dog. Despite her age, she still has a lot of strength and energy, and on walks she can pull, so she requires further work on walking calmly on a leash. ☺ We are looking for a home for Kiry that will appreciate her character and provide her with the right amount of exercise and stability. 😀 FOR adoption PLEASE PRESENT OWN leash AND COLLAR KIRA is under the care of OTOZ Animals animal shelter in Tczew. Registration number in the animal shelter: 18/25 female dog is vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed and spayed.

Kira szuka kochającego domu! 😊 Kira to suczka w wieku około 11 lat i wadze ok. 35-40 kg. Kontakt w sprawie adopcji: 📞 58 531 96 56 💌

About KIRA

What life with KIRA looks like

KIRA is a large senior mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Puszatek in Warszawa.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting KIRA, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about KIRA?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Puszatek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw KIRA on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt KIRA if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Puszatek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is KIRA already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if KIRA isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Puszatek early rather than rehoming privately; they know KIRA and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
