Adopt KLAWISZ

Mixed Breed · Male · Senior · 10 years

KLAWISZ is looking for a calm and quiet home 🐾 KLAWISZ is a dog over 10 years old, who is calm and attentive during walks. He walks nicely on a leash, doesn't pull, and observes his surroundings with interest. He is a sensitive dog - in new situations he needs a gentle, unobtrusive approach and feels best when given time and space to calmly get used to the unknown. In moments of strong stress or panic, he may react impulsively and sometimes uncontrollably grab a person's hand, so he requires a caregiver who will be calm, attentive, and able to read the signals sent by the dog. For this reason, KLAWISZ will not be a suitable candidate for living in a city center or a very busy place. He will best thrive in a home located in a quiet, peaceful area, where he can function in his own rhythm and without an excess of stimuli. In interactions with other dogs, he is tolerant and does not cause problems. We are looking for a calm, responsible home for him, preferably without small children, which will provide him with stability, security, and a lot of understanding. KLAWISZ will repay you with a calm presence and loyal companionship every day. The description is written based on observations of the dog at the animal shelter. KLAWISZ is under the care of OTOZ Animals animal shelter in Tczew. Shelter registration number: 186/22 The male is vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and neutered.

Najlepiej odnajdzie się w domu położonym w cichej, spokojnej okolicy, gdzie będzie mógł funkcjonować we własnym rytmie i bez nadmiaru bodźców. Kontakt w sprawie adopcji: 📞 58 531 96 56 💌

About KLAWISZ

What life with KLAWISZ looks like

KLAWISZ is a medium-sized senior mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Puszatek in Warszawa.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting KLAWISZ, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about KLAWISZ?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Puszatek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw KLAWISZ on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt KLAWISZ if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Puszatek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is KLAWISZ already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if KLAWISZ isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Puszatek early rather than rehoming privately; they know KLAWISZ and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
