Loki Boy has lots of potential but needs patient owners who can dedicate time to get to know him at his pace. He would also like adopters that can help build his confidence around unknown people and follow introduction plans put in place by our Training and Behaviour Team, who will be on hand to go through this with you. Home requirements: Loki Boy is a beautiful 5 year old German Shepherd who is on the lookout for his furever home. He would ideally like to have his own, secure garden with at least 6ft fencing where he can play and enjoy time with his new family, especially football or a splash in the paddling pool, however, if his new home does not have a garden but can provide regular access to a secure off lead area such as a secure field this could work too. He can live with secondary school aged children and would prefer a home with minimal visitors as he can find hands on interactions with unknown people a bit scary and overwhelming. Therefore he needs be kept on lead and muzzled when out in public and meeting new people, he is already fully muzzle trained. Adopters will need to visit the centre a minimum of 3 times to become one of his best friends. Once he knows you, he is a very loyal, fun boy who loves training and a good game of fetch. He has previously been house trained and is happy being left for a few hours on his own. Loki can live with another dog pending successful meets at the centre, any dog friends needs to be robust enough to play with Loki who often forgets his own size when he’s playing.
