About Martina

Martina is a herd-protection female (Mastín Español) that we have saved from Perrera Resur in Linares. Martina is located on our Spanish nursing centre in southern Spain. Martina is the group leader and looks after the dogs, regulates all possible problems in the group and goes after their job with joy and zeal. It ensures good and positive energy in the group. Martina loves her reference person and always gets most string units. There is also an imaginary dog at the end of the grounds in the morning, which barks from the distance towards Martina every morning at the same time. She then leaves the group for 10 minutes and runs backwards to rebel, a bit like Romeo and Julia, who cannot find each other. If then all of them have broken out, she goes back to the group entrusted to her. Since Martina is happy as she lives there, she remains in Spain for a long time. It also suffers from a bleeding disorder on a paw, therefore it must not go for long walks and just walk on soft grass or sand, otherwise the leg becomes thick. Martina ist eine Herdenschutzhündin (Mastín Español), die wir aus der Perrera Resur in Linares gerettet haben. Martina befindet sich auf unserer spanischen Pflegestelle in Südspanien. Martina ist dort die Gruppenchefin und passt auf die Hunde auf, regelt alle eventuellen Probleme in der Gruppe und geht mit Freude und Feuereifer ihrem Job nach. Sie sorgt für eine gute und positive Energie in der Gruppe. Martina liebt ihre Bezugsperson und bekommt immer die meisten Streicheleinheiten. Es gibt auch am Ende des Geländes morgens früh einen imaginären Hund, der aus der Ferne in Richtung Martina bellt, jeden Morgen um dieselbe Zeit. Sie verlässt dann für 10 Minuten die Gruppe und rennt nach ganz hinten, um zurückzubellen, ein bisschen wie Romeo und Julia, die nicht zueinander finden können. Wenn dann alle ausgebellt haben, geht sie zurück zu der ihr anvertrauten Gruppe. Da Martina glücklich ist, so wie sie dort lebt, bleibt sie auf Dauer in Spanien. Sie leidet auch an einer Durchblutungsstörung an einer Pfote, darf deshalb nicht lange spazieren gehen und eben nur auf weichem Gras oder Sand laufen, sonst wird das Bein dick.
