Nancy’s story is one of quiet resilience. She was originally a stray, lovingly fed by a kind member of the public for years before finally receiving the help she needed when she was taken to the vet with an injury to her back leg. Sadly, Nancy had a severe infection in one of her back toes, which required a partial amputation. She has been incredibly brave through it all and is now recovering well. While she’s healing physically, Nancy is finding the shelter environment quite overwhelming. The noise and constant activity can be stressful for a cat who has spent much of her life fending for herself, so we’re hoping to find her a calm, understanding home as soon as possible. Nancy is a sweet girl with a gentle nature, but she can be shy at first. She will need a patient adopter who is willing to give her the time and space to build trust at her own pace.
