Ori is a lively young lad, a year old and full of enthusiasm and craving attention and is a favourite amongst the Merseyside team. The world is a very exciting place for him and he’s desperate to explore it and can be quite strong on his lead, but his trainers have got him to a really good place and he’s much improved. His family will need to keep this up and be willing to teach this young pup how to be a well-behaved dog with lots of fun and reward-based training. He’s very smart and wants to engage with people and thinks everything is for him to play with. We know Ori doesn’t want to be left alone, and he does cry if he finds himself without company, he really loves any kind of contact with people. His adopters will need to be with him all the time initially but should be able to gradually increase his solo time so that he learns it’s nothing to fear. Ori is good with other dogs but lacks any kind of etiquette or social skills! As he is too OTT for most, it’s better that he’s the only dog in the home whilst he gets to grips with canine decorum. He has shown some resource guarding issues in his previous home so would be more suited to living with older children than youngsters. Ori is such a bright and active boy who is looking for a family with energy to match his, he’s always up for the next adventure. Home requirements: Ori is looking for a committed home where he can be the only pet and any children are over 16. He is not fully house trained and will need someone at home most of the day and who is willing to start basic training from scratch. Ori is due to have surgery on his knees but we are happy to still rehome him as it would be ideal if he could recover in a home. The surgery cost will be met by us.
