Oscar is a beautiful Jack Russell Terrier, born on December 2017.His story:Oscar grew up in a family with a child and a Belgian Malinois. Unfortunately, over time his owners stopped taking care of him, and he ended up living alone in a garden until a young woman decided to help him.He spent about two years with her and even travelled with her in her van. Sadly, due to changes in her life situation, she can no longer keep him. She entrusted him to us so that we can find him his forever family, one that will love and cherish him for the rest of his life.Personality:Oscar is absolutely adorable. He craves attention, affection, and companionship.He truly needs a lot of love and will thrive with people who are very present. He may bark if left alone for long periods.He has the typical strong character of a Jack Russel but he is also sensitive. His life hasn’t always been easy, so he needs reassurance and a stable, loving environment.Oscar tends to bark when he sees other dogs.He is not good with cats and small dogs. However, he is currently living at the shelter with larger dogs and things are going fairly well, although he can be selective about the dogs he likes.A home without other dogs would be easiest, but he could live with one or more larger, non-dominant dogs.He is house-trained, although since he has been in the shelter for a few weeks he may need a short adjustment period.At home he listens well to commands like “sit” and “wait » etc. He is gentle indoors but needs long walks and activity to burn off energy.In short, he is a typical Jack Russell!Oscar absolutely loves people and, according to what we were told, he also likes children.
