All good things are hopefully only two. Our Peter is now in our shelter for the second time, for private reasons he has been released and is now looking for a second and hopefully last time his for-immer home. The little guy is about 4-5 years old. At first he is still a little shy, but with love and patience he will surely develop into a wonderful family member. Currently Peterchen has to fight with overweight that we just want to get under control. Overweight is unfortunately a common problem for pets and should not be underestimated. Therefore, it is currently being converted to a healthy diet, which should be continued consistently in its future home. Tasterlis and dry food therefore do not belong to Peterchen's menu and should not be in the future. Rabbits are fresh chefs: their diet consists of about 80% of green food such as fresh salads, meadow plants and herbs. Overweight can be the starting point for further health problems. Alle guten Dinge sind hoffentlich nur zwei. Unser Peterchen ist nun bereits zum zweiten Mal in unserem Tierheim, aus privaten Gründen wurde er abgegeben und sucht jetzt ein zweites und hoffentlich letztes Mal sein Für-immer-Zuhause. Der kleine Kerl ist etwa 4–5 Jahre alt. Anfangs ist er noch etwas schüchtern, doch mit viel Liebe und Geduld wird er sich sicher zu einem wunderbaren Familienmitglied entwickeln. Aktuell hat Peterchen mit Übergewicht zu kämpfen, das wir gerade in den Griff bekommen möchten. Übergewicht ist bei Haustieren leider ein häufiges Problem und sollte nicht unterschätzt werden. Deshalb wird er derzeit auf eine gesunde Ernährung umgestellt, die auch in seinem zukünftigen Zuhause konsequent fortgeführt werden sollte. Leckerlis und Trockenfutter gehören daher nicht auf Peterchens Speiseplan und sollten es auch in Zukunft nicht. Kaninchen sind Frischköstler: Ihre Ernährung besteht zu etwa 80 % aus Grünfutter wie frischen Salaten, Wiesenpflanzen und Kräutern. Übergewicht kann der Ausgangspunkt für weitere gesundheitliche Probleme sein. Da Peterchen ansonsten gesund und fit ist, sind wir zuversichtlich, dass wir sein Gewicht gemeinsam schnell wieder in den Griff bekommen.
