Adopt Pivo

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 5 years

Email: Phone: Because I am moving to another country, I have to find another place for my cat Pivo. Pivo is a beautiful 6.5-year-old white cat with two different colored eyes. She is spayed, microchipped and has had all the standard vaccinations. She is smart, independent and used to living freely outside. A place with lots of space - such as a farm - would be perfect for her. Or at least a place where she can decide when she wants to go outside. She is good at catching mice and is used to farm animals. She has a strong and sensitive character: she gets easily overstimulated and does not like much touching. As a reaction, she can become aggressive. She has scratched (and once even bitten). Therefore, I am looking for a calm, experienced owner who gives her time and respects her boundaries. Pivo is certainly NOT a cuddly cat, but rather a very special animal for someone who understands her. (Some people can handle everything with her; the chosen ones!) I wish her a stable place where she can stay forever and really find peace. Outside and free. Do you or are you someone who can offer this to Pivo? Please send me a message. All tips are welcome! If you want to know more, feel free to contact me using the details above.

Stuur me alsjeblieft een berichtje.

About Pivo

What life with Pivo looks like

Pivo is a adult mixed breed cat waiting at Flappus in Netherlands.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇳🇱Adopting from Netherlands

Dutch shelters typically require a household assessment and an adoption contract. Animals are routinely sterilized, microchipped, and registered in the national pet database (NDG) before placement.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pivo, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pivo?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Flappus handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pivo on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pivo if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Flappus will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Pivo already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pivo isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Flappus early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pivo and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
