About Rocky

Rocky is an 8 year old Border Collie Cross. He has been with a foster family for a few months and his foster carers report that “Rocky settled into home life well and adapted into our routine. He is a pleasure to look after, full of character with fun and playfulness. He also has a loving and affectionate side” Rocky is a handsome boy, very personable and polite. Like a typical Collie, Rocky is intelligent. He responds to a range of commands and is eager to learn and please. He will need an experienced Collie owner who can give him plenty of time for physical and mental stimulation. Rocky is playful with interactive toys such as a rope toy and loves to play fetch with a tennis ball. His favourite toy is to play with a battered old rugby ball. Rocky loves going on walks, he is good on the lead and does not pull. He will want to check out every smell so walks are more of a stop and sniff rather than a brisk trot. He generally ignores other dogs on walks, if encountered he allows them to pass by without any incident. We understand that on off-lead walks Rocky is keen to go swimming in rivers. Rocky will thrive in the right environment. He will need a calm and peaceful house as opposed to a crowed, noisy and busy household. He prefers adult company so not one with children or young grandchildren and preferably to be the only pet in the home. Rocky needs consistency and routines. He will need to have a quiet space (his bed area) where he can retire and be on his own at times. We are sure that in the right forever home, Rocky will be a loyal and affectionate companion.…read more
