Roo is a stunning female Great Dane with a truly lovely nature. She’s affectionate, gentle and very people-oriented. Roo forms strong bonds with her humans and typifies the classic Great Dane personality: calm, loving and happiest when close to her family. Roo is good on the lead and enjoys her daily walks, taking time to sniff and explore. While she isn’t particularly toy-motivated, she does enjoy the occasional game and loves being off-lead for a gentle potter (with the odd burst of zoomies!). She would benefit from a couple of relaxed walks each day. She is social with other dogs, and although she hasn’t lived with another dog before, she could potentially share her home with a well-matched, calm large-breed dog following sensible introductions. Roo currently lives very happily with a cat and can live with cats again in her new home. Roo has experience living with children, including a toddler and teenagers, and is gentle and tolerant, often choosing to remove herself if she’s had enough. As with all dogs, she’ll need a quiet space where she can relax undisturbed. At present, Roo isn’t used to being left alone and will need a home where someone is around most of the time, with adopters willing to slowly build up her confidence with short periods alone. She’s ready to find a loving home that understands the needs of a big, sensitive girl and can offer her stability, companionship and lots of sofa space!
