Rye has come to us from a breeder to find her forever home. When she arrived she was a very worried soul who was extremely unsure of us humans and wasn't used to being handled. Since then she has started to settle in and come out of her shell, but is still a scared little girl. She has since moved to a foster home where she is settling in well and learning all about home life for the first time in her life and she has progressed so much already. She is a sweet girl who is choosing to sit on the sofa near her fosterers and is even starting to follow her around the house and is very curious about what's going on. Rye will be looking for a calm and quiet, adult only home where she can settle in at her own pace. She would benefit from adopters who have experience with scared ex-breeding dogs. She relies on other dogs for comfort and will need at least one other kind and confident resident dog in her new home to take her under their wing. She has never lived in a home before moving to foster and so her adopters will need to be kind and understanding as she settles in and learns all about home life and new skills like house training. She will also need to learn all about walking on a lead and harness, first starting in the garden as she builds confidence. Rye is simply waiting for someone patient and compassionate to show her that the world can be a safe and loving place. She has arrived with a mild underbite that does not seem to bother her but should be monitored in her new home for any future treatment she may need. This dog can be homed with a resident dog.
