About Venus and Serena
These beautiful sisters were rescued from a bad situation on a farm. An elderly man suddenly passed away leaving behind a colony of 15 unneutered cats. The animals found themselves without a food source and the family of the deceased man didn’t want to know anything about the cats, even refusing to feed them 😖 When a volunteer arrived on the scene the cats were starving, sick and emaciated. They were trapped for neuter/treatment. Many were missing eyes due to inbreeding. We trapped, neutered and parasite treated all of the cats. A few went back and are being fed by neighbours. The TNR volunteer ended up fostering 7 of the cats herself. Venus & Serena have gained weight and made fantastic progress in foster. They were scared but have tamed down remarkably. They are now letting their fosterer make a fuss over them. Goes to show the difference a little bit of TLC can make! Venus is missing an eye – more than likely a congenital defect due to inbreeding. Serena’s had an eye infection but recovered fully with treatment. They are around 7-8 months old and have been neutered, vaccinated, parasite treated and microchipped. Send us a pm if you would like to adopt these beautiful sisters 🙏
