Lyric je středně velký kříženec ve věku asi čtyř let. Nebyl testován s kočkami. Může žít s nebo bez domácího psa. Respektující děti 10 a více. Tuto úžasnou krásky jsme objevili v Botosani veřejném shelteru, když jsme navštívili v březnu. Trvalo několik týdnů, než se její řada přišla, je teď tady a čeká na šťastného adoptivu, který ji odvede! Lyric je milá a jemná dívka s chytrým stranou, která začíná projevovat. Po krátké fázi zdráhavosti si brzy naučí důvěřovat a je laskavý a pozorný společník. Může žít s jiným psem v svém pevném domě a je vhodná pro děti starší 10 let. Ujistí tak vašeho psa: váš nový pes bude nervózní a nebude vám důvěřovat a nebudete vědět, které situace mohou psa rozrušit. Pokud se pes vystraší, jediný způsob, jak zabránit jeho útěku (mnoho psovi může uniknout z obojku a/nebo sedačky) je uzávorový řetěz. Bude trvat minimálně 3-6 měsíců, než se pes usadí a vy plně porozumíte svému psovi (pro nervózní psy déle). Uzávorový řetěz musí být vždy použit během tohoto období usazování. I po tom, co se pes usadí, je nejbezpečnější použít uzávorový řetěz v situacích, kdy se pes může bát (např. návštěva nových míst, kolem cizích lidí, u veterináře), a v situacích, kde mohou dojít k neočekávaným stimulům (např. kolem večera ohňostrojů). Nervózní psi mohou vždy potřebovat nosit uzávorový řetěz jako záložní opatření. Uzávorový řetěz je bezpečnostní zařízení a nesmí nikdy být použit jako nástroj tréninku. Použití řetězu k aplikaci tlaku na hrdlo psa je škodlivé. Pokud pes táhne řetězem, můžeme vám doporučit metody tréninku, které neubližují. Jakmile se pes usadí, můžete zvážit použití sedačky (spolu s uzávorovým řetězem), pokud pes je komfortní s manipulací při nasazení. Většina sedaček není unikací odolná, ale sedačky se zadním pásy (např. Ruffwear Webmaster nebo Perfect Fit Sedáky) jsou bezpečnější. Nikdy nesmí být použity retrakční / roztažné řetězy na naše psy. Adoptované psy musí být shromážděny z rescue a převezeny rovnou domů v bezpečné kovové krabici. Ploty a brány musí mít minimální výšku 5 stop a být bezpečné. Adult home environment We discovered this absolute beauty queen in the Botosani public shelter when we visited in March. It’s taken a few weeks for her turn to come to arrive in the UK, she’s here now and ready for a new life. Lyric is a sweet and gentle girl with a cheeky side that’s just beginning to emerge. Once settled she does tend to love her human a little too much and can become possessive/protective over them if allowed to and will therefore need an adopter who is experienced with shepherd types or similar natured dogs. Lyric is living very happily with multiple other dogs in her foster home but could become bossy if allowed to “rule the roost”. She can live with dog savvy, confident cats but would be likely to chase more timid or skittish cats. She needs an adult home environment and would be best suited to a single person or couple. This will keep your dog safe: your new dog will be nervous and will not trust you, and you will not know which situations might upset your dog. If your dog panics, then a slip lead is the only way to prevent your dog from escaping (many dogs can escape from a collar and/or harness). It will take AT LEAST 3-6 months for your dog to settle-in and for you to know your dog fully (longer for nervous dogs). The slip lead must ALWAYS be used during this settling-in period. Even after your dog is settled, it is safest to use the slip lead in situations where your dog may become scared (e.g. visiting new places, around unfamiliar people, at the vet), and it situations where unexpected triggers might happen (e.g. around bonfire night). Nervous dogs may always need to wear a slip-lead as a back-up safety measure. The slip lead is a safety device and must NEVER be used as a training tool. Using the lead to apply pressure to the dog’s neck is damaging. If your dog pulls on the lead, then we can advise you on training methods that avoid harm. Once your dog is settled, you may want to consider using a harness (together with the slip lead) if your dog is comfortable with being handled when it is fitted. Most harnesses are not escape-proof, but harnesses with a strap behind the ribcage (e.g. Ruffwear Webmaster or Perfect Fit Harnesses) are safer. Retractable / extendable leads must never be used on our dogs. Adopted dogs must be collected from the rescue and transported straight home in a secure metal crate.
