Ralph je středně velký zlatý labrador kříženec ve věku okolo osmi let. Ještě není testován na kočky. Raději by byl jediným psem v domě. Děti od 12 let. Předpokládáme, že tento chlapík je synem Ruperta a je přesně takový jako on podle vzhledu i návyků. Bohatý Ralph strávil roky v veřejném shelteru Botosani v Rumunsku, jeho dva bratranci jsou stále tam a nemohou k nám přijít, dokud nebudeme mít domovy pro další dva tak podobné duše, které už máme! Ralph je milý starý dušička, který se učí všemu o svém novém domácím životě, ale je náročný, když jde o „nové triky“, jako je chodit na šňůru. Udělá to a bude si užívat procházku, ale nejdřív ti musí říct, že nepřijme omezení, aby šel kam chce lidé. Pokud chce něco nasrkat, poznáš to, je skutečně velmi zábavný! Žádá o pozornost, ale pak se diví, proč to udělal a proč se mu to líbí, ale vidíš, že se mu to líbí. Je to hodně, co se musí zvyknout a dělá to svým vlastním způsobem a my si užíváme sledování toho, jak to probíhá. Ralph se dobrej s jinými psy, ale raději by byl jediným psem v domě. Navzdory tomu, že nikdy v životě neměl lůžko nebo ložní plachty, rozhodl se, že si to užívá a nechce si to dělit. To je všechno hrdost a chvástavost, ale možná by bylo jednodušší nechat ho mít svůj způsob a nechat ho být jediným psem v domě, protože si to zaslouží! Mohl by žít s respektními dětmi od 12 let. Přestože má hodně komických činů, Ralph je moc šťastný tady a kolem lidí, které poznává, že chtějí láskou být jeho kamarádem. Jeho ocas teď často mává a potřebuje svůj vlastní trvalý domov, aby to mohl dělat! Ralph byl vychoven v Norwich Norfolk Pokud máte zájem, napište nebo zavolejte mezi 9:00 a 17:00 pondělně–pátečně nebo mezi 9:00 a 16:00 v sobotu. Poplatky za adopci jsou: Vycpané kuřata již sterilizovaná a všechny dospělé psi: 430 £. Nezabalená kuřata na smlouvě o kastraci/nekastraci: 530 £ (Dostanete 100 £ vráceno, jakmile mi pošlete důkaz o kastraci). Starší psi (10+ let): 150–250 £ (podle věku a individuálních potřeb). Podmínky adopce Když adoptujete psa od Safe Rescue, musíte použít proužkovou řetězovku. Udrží vašeho psa v bezpečí: váš nový pes bude nervózní a nebude vás důvěřovat, a nebudete vědět, které situace mohou psa znervóznit. Pokud se váš pes bude panikařit, jediný způsob, jak zabránit útěku, je proužková řetězovka (mnoho psů může uprchnout z krkovičku a/nebo sedačky). Bude trvat minimálně 3–6 měsíců, než se váš pes usadí a vy se naučíte svého psa plně (delší pro nervózní psy). Proužková řetězovka musí být vždy použita během tohoto období usazování. I poté, co se pes usadí, je nejbezpečnější použít proužkovou řetězovku v situacích, kdy se může pes bát (např. návštěvy nových míst, kolem cizích lidí, u veterináře), a v situacích, kdy mohou nastat neočekávané stimuly (např. kolem svátku ohňů). Nervózní psi si mohou vždy nosit proužkovou řetězovku jako zálohovou bezpečnostní opatření. Použití proužkové řetězovky je bezpečnostní zařízení a nikdy nesmí být použito jako tréninkové zařízení. Použití řetězovky k aplikaci tlaku na krk psa je ničivé. Pokud váš pes tahá za řetězovku, můžeme vám poradit metodami tréninku, které nezpůsobí škodu. Jakmile se váš pes usadí, můžete zvážit použití sedačky (spolu s proužkovou řetězovkou), pokud pes toleruje dotyk, když je připnutá. Většina sedaček není unikací odolná, ale sedačky s pásem za žebrami (např. Ruffwear Webmaster nebo Perfect Fit Sedáky) jsou bezpečnější. Retrakční / roztažitelné řetězy nesmí být použity na naše psy. Adopce psů musí být shromážděny z rescue a převezeny přímo domů v bezpečném kovovém kontejneru. Zdi a brány musí mít minimální výšku 5 stop a být pevné. We believe this boy to be Rupert’s son and he’s an absolute chip off the old block with both looks and stubborn mannerisms. Poor Ralph spent years in the Botosani public shelter in Romania, his two brothers are still there and can’t come to us until we’ve found homes for the two such similar souls that we have already! Ralph is a sweet old soul that is learning all about his new domestic life, but he’s insistent on putting up a little bit of protest regarding “new tricks” such as walking on a lead. He’ll do it, and he’ll enjoy the walk, but he’s just gotta tell you first that he doesn’t appreciate being restricted to going where the humans want him to go. If he wants to sniff something, he’s going to let you know, he’s just actually very amusing! He asks for a fuss but then looks confused about why he’s asked and why he’s enjoying it, but you can see that he is. It’s a lot to get used to and he’s just through the process in his own unique way and we’re loving watching it happen. Ralph gets on with other dogs to a point but would rather be the only dog in the home. Despite never having a bed or bedding in his life before, he’s decided he likes them and he doesn’t want to share them. It’s all bluster and bravado but perhaps it would be easier just to let him have his own way in this one and let him be the only dog in the home, he does deserve to be spoilt after all! He could live with respectful children aged twelve plus. Despite all the comedy antics, Ralph is so happy to be here and be around the humans who he seems to understand are just trying to love him and be his friend. This will keep your dog safe: your new dog will be nervous and will not trust you, and you will not know which situations might upset your dog. If your dog panics, then a slip lead is the only way to prevent your dog from escaping (many dogs can escape from a collar and/or harness). It will take AT LEAST 3-6 months for your dog to settle-in and for you to know your dog fully (longer for nervous dogs). The slip lead must ALWAYS be used during this settling-in period. Even after your dog is settled, it is safest to use the slip lead in situations where your dog may become scared (e.g. visiting new places, around unfamiliar people, at the vet), and it situations where unexpected triggers might happen (e.g. around bonfire night). Nervous dogs may always need to wear a slip-lead as a back-up safety measure. The slip lead is a safety device and must NEVER be used as a training tool. Using the lead to apply pressure to the dog’s neck is damaging. If your dog pulls on the lead, then we can advise you on training methods that avoid harm. Once your dog is settled, you may want to consider using a harness (together with the slip lead) if your dog is comfortable with being handled when it is fitted. Most harnesses are not escape-proof, but harnesses with a strap behind the ribcage (e.g. Ruffwear Webmaster or Perfect Fit Harnesses) are safer. Retractable / extendable leads must never be used on our dogs. Adopted dogs must be collected from the rescue and transported straight home in a secure metal crate.
