Ralph este un câine de mărime medie, crosetării golden retriever, cu vârsta de aproximativ opt ani. Nu a fost încă testat pentru cățeluși. Aș prefera să fie singurul câine din casă. Copii de 12 ani și peste. Credem că acest băiat este fiul lui Rupert și este un adevărat „copil al tatălui” atât din punct de vedere al înfățișării, cât și al obiceiurilor obstinate. Rău Ralph a petrecut ani în adăpostul public Botosani din România, cei doi frați ai săi sunt încă acolo și nu pot veni la noi până când nu vom găsi locuințe pentru cele două suflete asemănătoare pe care le avem deja! Ralph este un suflet blând, care învață totul despre noua sa viață domestică, dar se opune ferm introducerii „unor noi trucuri”, cum ar fi mersul cu lanț. El va face-o, și va aprecia plimbarea, dar trebuie mai întâi să-ți spună că nu apreciază să fie restricționat la a merge unde oamenii doresc să meargă el. Dacă vrea să mirosce ceva, o să-ți spuie, este pur și simplu foarte amuzant! Își cere atenția, dar apoi pare confuz de ce a cerut și de ce îi place, dar poți vedea că îi place. Este mult de obișnuit și el trece prin proces într-un mod unic, iar noi ne bucurăm să observăm acest lucru. Ralph se descurcă cu ceilalți câini până la un anumit punct, dar preferă să fie singurul câine din casă. În ciuda faptului că niciodată nu a avut un pat sau perne în viața lui, a decis că le-așteptă și nu vrea să le împartă. Este toată tusea și mândria, dar poate ar fi mai ușor doar să-i lăsăm să aibă propriul lui mod de a face lucrurile și să fie singurul câine din casă, merită să fie îngrijit după toate! Ar putea trăi cu copii respectuoși de 12 ani și peste. În ciuda tuturor actelor sale comice, Ralph este foarte fericit să fie aici și să fie în preajma oamenilor pe care îi pare că înțelege că doar încearcă să-l iubească și să fie prietenul lui. Coada lui zăngăne destul de des acum și doar are nevoie de o casă stabilă în care să-și zăngăne! Ralph a fost crescut de Norwich Norfolk. Dacă sunteți interesat, trimiteți un mesaj sau sunați între orele 9:00 – 17:00, luni-vineri sau 9:00 – 16:00, sâmbătă. Taxele pentru adoptare sunt Pui deja sterilizați și toți câinii adulți: £430. Pui nesterilizați pe contracte de sterilizare: £530 (veți primi un ramburs de £100 după ce ne trimiteți dovada sterilizării). Câini bătrâni (peste 10 ani): £150–£250 (în funcție de vârstă și nevoile individuale). Termeni și condiții pentru adoptare Când adoptați un câine de la Safe Rescue, trebuie să folosiți un lanț. Acesta va menține câinele vostru în siguranță: câinele nou adoptat va fi neliniștit și nu va avea încredere în voi, iar voi nu veți ști ce situații ar putea irita câinele. Dacă câinele se panichează, atunci un lanț este singura cale de a preveni scaparea câinelui (multe câini pot scăpa dintr-un colier și/sau haină). Va dura cel puțin 3-6 luni pentru ca câinele să se adapteze și pentru ca voi să-l cunoașteți complet (mai mult timp pentru câinii nervoși). Lanțul trebuie folosit întotdeauna în această perioadă de adaptare. Chiar și după ce câinele se va fi adaptat, este mai sigur să folosiți lanțul în situații în care câinele ar putea deveni speriat (de ex., vizite la locuri noi, în preajma persoanelor necunoscute, la medic), și în situații în care ar putea apărea declanșatori neașteptați (ex., în apropierea nopții de focuri de artificii). Câinii nervoși pot avea mereu nevoie să poarte un lanț, ca măsură suplimentară de siguranță. Lanțul este un dispozitiv de siguranță și nu trebuie niciodată utilizat ca instrument de antrenament. Folosirea lanțului pentru a aplica presiune asupra gâtului câinelui este dăunătoare. Dacă câinele trage de lanț, putem să vă oferim metode de antrenament care evită daunele. Ralph is a medium sized golden Labrador cross aged around eight years old. Isn’t yet cat tested. He’d rather be the only dog in the home.Children 12 plus. We believe this boy to be Rupert’s son and he’s an absolute chip off the old block with both looks and stubborn mannerisms. Poor Ralph spent years in the Botosani public shelter in Romania, his two brothers are still there and can’t come to us until we’ve found homes for the two such similar souls that we have already! Ralph is a sweet old soul that is learning all about his new domestic life, but he’s insistent on putting up a little bit of protest regarding “new tricks” such as walking on a lead. He’ll do it, and he’ll enjoy the walk, but he’s just gotta tell you first that he doesn’t appreciate being restricted to going where the humans want him to go. If he wants to sniff something, he’s going to let you know, he’s just actually very amusing! He asks for a fuss but then looks confused about why he’s asked and why he’s enjoying it, but you can see that he is. It’s a lot to get used to and he’s just through the process in his own unique way and we’re loving watching it happen. Ralph gets on with other dogs to a point but would rather be the only dog in the home. Despite never having a bed or bedding in his life before, he’s decided he likes them and he doesn’t want to share them. It’s all bluster and bravado but perhaps it would be easier just to let him have his own way in this one and let him be the only dog in the home, he does deserve to be spoilt after all! He could live with respectful children aged twelve plus. Despite all the comedy antics, Ralph is so happy to be here and be around the humans who he seems to understand are just trying to love him and be his friend. His tail is wagging a lot these days and he just needs his own forever home to wag it in! This will keep your dog safe: your new dog will be nervous and will not trust you, and you will not know which situations might upset your dog. If your dog panics, then a slip lead is the only way to prevent your dog from escaping (many dogs can escape from a collar and/or harness). It will take AT LEAST 3-6 months for your dog to settle-in and for you to know your dog fully (longer for nervous dogs). The slip lead must ALWAYS be used during this settling-in period. Even after your dog is settled, it is safest to use the slip lead in situations where your dog may become scared (e.g. visiting new places, around unfamiliar people, at the vet), and it situations where unexpected triggers might happen (e.g. around bonfire night). Nervous dogs may always need to wear a slip-lead as a back-up safety measure. The slip lead is a safety device and must NEVER be used as a training tool. Using the lead to apply pressure to the dog’s neck is damaging. If your dog pulls on the lead, then we can advise you on training methods that avoid harm. Once your dog is settled, you may want to consider using a harness (together with the slip lead) if your dog is comfortable with being handled when it is fitted. Most harnesses are not escape-proof, but harnesses with a strap behind the ribcage (e.g. Ruffwear Webmaster or Perfect Fit Harnesses) are safer. Retractable / extendable leads must never be used on our dogs. Adopted dogs must be collected from the rescue and transported straight home in a secure metal crate.
