Squishova cesta k nám je velmi smutná, protože přišel kvůli závažným problémům v jeho rodinném domě. Podívejte se na sekci „důvod mého předání“. Nakonec se situace stala neudržitelnou, a proto museli být dítě i Squish trvale odděleni. Rodina si uvědomila, že to bylo pro oba nespravedlivé, a těžkou rozhodnutí ho předala naše zachránit, doufajíce, že mu najdeme domov s převahou dospělých, kde se může skutečně rozvíjet. Squish potřebuje klidné, bezstresové prostředí, kam se může pohodlně usadit ve svých starších letech. Zvláštně se pravděpodobně přizpůsobil životu v chovu, možná díky svým minulým zkušenostem s penzionem pro psy. Přes své obtíže je Squish velmi chytrý a energický chlapík, který má rád fotbal a rád hraje hru na loďku. Vítá každého, koho potká s pohybováním ocásku a šťastnými vlnami! což ukazuje jeho laskavý charakter. Má oblíbené místo na škrábání pod uchem na pravé straně a když hraje loďku, dokonale upustí fotbal právě k vašim nohám. Zná také spoustu triků jako „sedni“, „lež“, „dotyk“, „prostřední“ a „místo“. Squish miluje jedno na jedno čas s obsluhou a rád dostává hřbetní masáže a objímání, což dále zdůrazňuje lásku, kterou má k dárku. Skutečně si myslíme, že jeho oblíbené místo zde v zachranění je našeho socializačního pokoje, kde jsou pohovky! Je to opravdu úžasný chlapík!

Squish’s journey to us is truly heart wrenching. He arrived due to serious issues within his family home – please see the “ Reason for My Surrender ” section for details. Eventually, the situation became untenable, requiring Squish and the child to be kept permanently apart. They couldn’t even be in the same room, as Squish was extremely terrified and anxious. The family recognised the unfairness of the situation for both of them and made the difficult decision to surrender him to our rescue, hoping to find him a predominantly adult only home where he can truly thrive. Squish needs a quiet, stress free environment to settle comfortably into his senior years. He has been in the kennels for around nine months, and it breaks our hearts to think he is one of our longest staying residents. Despite his challenges, Squish is a bright and energetic boy who loves playing football and enjoys a good game of fetch. He greets everyone with a wagging tail and a joyful demeanour, showcasing his affectionate nature. He has a favourite scratch spot under his right ear, and when playing fetch, he excels at dropping the ball right at your feet or on your lap if you’re seated, no need to get up to throw it! He knows many tricks, including “sit,” “down,” “touch,” “middle,” and “place.” While Squish is a collie, typically known for their high energy, he’s quite the opposite and is low maintenance. He treasures one on one time with his handlers and adores tummy rubs and cuddles, highlighting the love he has to give. We truly believe his favourite spot at the rescue is our socialisation room with the sofas! He is an absolutely wonderful boy!
