Squish sin reise til oss er en øyensynlig trist, fordi han kom til oss på grunn av alvorlige problemer i hjemmet sitt. Se "grunn for min oppgivelse" -seksjon. Til slutt ble situasjonen upålitelig, og både barnet og Squish måtte bli permanent skilt fra hverandre. Familien erkjente at dette var urettferdig for begge, og gjorde den svært vanskelige beslutningen å gi ham til vårt redningslag, håper å finne ham et hjem som hovedsakelig består av voksne, hvor han kan virkelig blomstre. Squish trenger et stille, stressfritt miljø hvor han kan behagelig tilpasse seg sine eldre år. Overraskende nok har han tilpasset seg godt til katteliv, sannsynligvis på grunn av hans tidligere erfaringer i bosteder. Likevel, Squish er en veldig flink og energisk gutt som elsker å spille fotball og nyter en god kastespill. Han møter alle han møter med en svinende hale og glade følelser! viser hans kjærlige natur. Han har en favorittklemmeplass under øret på høyre side, og når han spiller kast, er han flink til å la fotballen rett ved dine føtter. Han kjenner også mange triks som "sette", "ned", "berør", "midten" & "plass". Squish elsker ett mot ett tid med sine behandlere og elsker bukkeskrem og klem, noe som fremhever kjærligheten han har å gi. Vi tror virkelig at hans favorittsted her i redningslagen er vår sosialiseringssal, der soffene er! Han er virkelig en fantastisk gutt!

Squish’s journey to us is truly heart wrenching. He arrived due to serious issues within his family home – please see the “ Reason for My Surrender ” section for details. Eventually, the situation became untenable, requiring Squish and the child to be kept permanently apart. They couldn’t even be in the same room, as Squish was extremely terrified and anxious. The family recognised the unfairness of the situation for both of them and made the difficult decision to surrender him to our rescue, hoping to find him a predominantly adult only home where he can truly thrive. Squish needs a quiet, stress free environment to settle comfortably into his senior years. He has been in the kennels for around nine months, and it breaks our hearts to think he is one of our longest staying residents. Despite his challenges, Squish is a bright and energetic boy who loves playing football and enjoys a good game of fetch. He greets everyone with a wagging tail and a joyful demeanour, showcasing his affectionate nature. He has a favourite scratch spot under his right ear, and when playing fetch, he excels at dropping the ball right at your feet or on your lap if you’re seated, no need to get up to throw it! He knows many tricks, including “sit,” “down,” “touch,” “middle,” and “place.” While Squish is a collie, typically known for their high energy, he’s quite the opposite and is low maintenance. He treasures one on one time with his handlers and adores tummy rubs and cuddles, highlighting the love he has to give. We truly believe his favourite spot at the rescue is our socialisation room with the sofas! He is an absolutely wonderful boy!
