Squish zaczął swoją przygodę z nami w bardzo trudny sposób, ponieważ przybył do nas z powodu poważnych problemów w jego domu rodzinnym. Patrz sekcja „powód mojego porzeczenia”. Squish potrzebuje cichego, bezstresowego środowiska, gdzie będzie mógł komfortowo spędzić swoje późniejsze lata. Zaskakująco dobrze przyzwyczaił się do życia w klatce, prawdopodobnie ze względu na swoje wcześniejsze doświadczenia w pensjonatach. Mimo swoich trudności Squish to bardzo inteligentny i energiczny chłopak, który lubi grać w piłkę nożną i ceni sobie dobrą grę w fetch. Powita każdego, kogo spotka machnięciem ogona i przyjaznymi emocjami! pokazując swoją miłosierną naturę. Ma ulubione miejsce na szczycie ucha po prawej stronie, a gdy gra w fetcha, świetnie potrafi rzucić piłkę dokładnie u Twoich stóp. Zna również wiele sztuczek takich jak „siedź”, „leż”, „dotyk”, „środek” i „miejsce”. Squish ceni czas spędzany jeden na jeden z opiekunami i bardzo lubi masaż brzucha oraz przytulanie, co dodatkowo podkreśla miłość, jaką ma do oferowania. My naprawdę uważamy, że jego ulubionym miejscem tutaj w tej ratunkowej organizacji jest nasz pokój socializacyjny, gdzie są sofki! To prawdziwy wspaniały chłopak!

Squish’s journey to us is truly heart wrenching. He arrived due to serious issues within his family home – please see the “ Reason for My Surrender ” section for details. Eventually, the situation became untenable, requiring Squish and the child to be kept permanently apart. They couldn’t even be in the same room, as Squish was extremely terrified and anxious. The family recognised the unfairness of the situation for both of them and made the difficult decision to surrender him to our rescue, hoping to find him a predominantly adult only home where he can truly thrive. Squish needs a quiet, stress free environment to settle comfortably into his senior years. He has been in the kennels for around nine months, and it breaks our hearts to think he is one of our longest staying residents. Despite his challenges, Squish is a bright and energetic boy who loves playing football and enjoys a good game of fetch. He greets everyone with a wagging tail and a joyful demeanour, showcasing his affectionate nature. He has a favourite scratch spot under his right ear, and when playing fetch, he excels at dropping the ball right at your feet or on your lap if you’re seated, no need to get up to throw it! He knows many tricks, including “sit,” “down,” “touch,” “middle,” and “place.” While Squish is a collie, typically known for their high energy, he’s quite the opposite and is low maintenance. He treasures one on one time with his handlers and adores tummy rubs and cuddles, highlighting the love he has to give. We truly believe his favourite spot at the rescue is our socialisation room with the sofas! He is an absolutely wonderful boy! *Given Squish’s interest in animals like wildlife and farm animals (including sheep, rats, and cats), we believe he is better suited for urban living rather than a rural environment. He has no experience with livestock, and after observing his behaviour in their presence, it became clear that he would thrive in an urban or semi urban setting. Additionally, Squish cannot live in a home with birds, such as parrots, even if they are caged, as he tends to react to and fixate on them*
