Squish ha bisogno di un ambiente tranquillo e privo di stress in cui può comodamente adattarsi ai suoi anni avanzati. Sorprendentemente, si è adattato bene alla vita in gabbia, probabilmente a causa delle sue precedenti esperienze in pensioni canine. Nonostante le sue sfide, Squish è un ragazzo molto sveglio ed energico che ama giocare a calcio e apprezzare un buon gioco di palla. Saluta tutti quelli che incontra con una coda che abbaia e con sensazioni positive! mostrando la sua natura affettuosa. Ha un punto preferito per grattare sotto l'orecchio sul lato destro e quando sta giocando a prendere la palla, eccelle nel lasciare la palla proprio ai tuoi piedi. Conosce anche tanti trucchi come "seduto", "disteso", "tocca", "centro" e "posto". Squish apprezza molto il tempo uno a uno con i suoi operatori e adora gli strusciamenti sulla pancia e le coccole, evidenziando ulteriormente l'amore che ha da offrire. Siamo veramente convinti che il suo posto preferito qui al rifugio sia la nostra stanza di socializzazione, dove ci sono i divani! È davvero un ragazzo meraviglioso!

Squish’s journey to us is a heart wrenching one, as he arrived due to serious issues within his family home. See “reason for my surrender” section. Eventually, the situation became untenable, with both the child and Squish needing to be kept permanently separated. The family recognized that this was unfair to them both and made the very difficult decision to surrender him to our rescue, hoping to find him a predominantly adult only home where he can truly thrive. Squish is in need of a quiet, stress free environment where he can comfortably settle into his senior years. Remarkably, he has adapted well to kennel life, likely due to his past experiences in boarding kennels. Despite his challenges, Squish is a very bright and energetic boy who loves to play football and enjoys a good game of fetch. He greets everyone he meets with a wagging tail and happy vibes! showcasing his affectionate nature. He has a favourite scratch spot under his ear on the right hand side, and when he’s playing fetch, he excels at dropping the football right at your feet. He also knows a lot of tricks such as “sit”, “down”, “touch”, “middle” & “place”. Squish treasures one on one time with his handlers and adores tummy rubs & cuddles, further highlighting the love he has to give. We truly think his favourite place here at the rescue is our socialisation room, where the sofas are! He is truly a wonderful boy!
