Cairo er på udkig efter et forstående hjem, der vil give ham tid til at falde til, hjælpe ham med at opbygge selvtillid og fortsætte sin positive socialisering omkring andre hunde. Hans nye familie bør være parat til at tilbyde konsekvent vejledning, tålmodighed og positiv forstærkning, hjælpe ham med at navigere i verden, samtidig med at han får lov til at træffe gode valg i sit eget tempo. Det er især vigtigt, at hans socialisering fortsætter, da han har vist os, at han kan være meget god omkring andre hunde, når han får de rigtige muligheder. Cairo har så meget potentiale, og vi ville elske at se ham forlade kennellivet bag sig og nyde komforten og sikkerheden ved et hjem for sig selv. Cairo er en sød og venlig 1-årig og 5 måneder gammel Shepherd, der finder kennellivet lidt stressende, selvom han klarer sig godt på trods af dette. Han kan være lidt ophidset, når han først kommer ud af sin kennel, men han bliver let distraheret og falder til ro med vejledning. Når han er ude og om, vil han som mange Shepherds lejlighedsvis gø, hvis en ukendt person tager ham på sengen, men giver ham et minut til at behandle tingene, og han kommer snart rundt og viser sin venlige side. Cairo går pænt i snor ved siden af andre hunde og kan nogle gange nyde at interagere med dem, mens han på andre tidspunkter er helt tilfreds med at trække sig tilbage og fortsætte på sin vej. Han kan have gåvenner, men vi mener, at han ville være bedst egnet til at være den eneste hund i sit nye hjem for nu.

Cairo is looking for an understanding home that will give him time to settle, help him build confidence and continue his positive socialisation around other dogs. His new family should be prepared to offer consistent guidance, patience and positive reinforcement, helping him navigate the world while allowing him to make good choices at his own pace. It is particularly important that his socialisation continues, as he has shown us that he can be very good around other dogs when given the right opportunities. Cairo has so much potential, and we would love to see him leave kennel life behind and enjoy the comfort and security of a home of his own. If you have experience with Shepherds, enjoy getting out and about, and can offer Cairo the time, structure and understanding he needs, he could be the wonderful companion you have been looking for! Cairo is a sweet-natured 1-year-and-5-month-old Shepherd who is finding kennel life a little stressful, although he is coping well despite this. He can be a little excitable when first coming out of his kennel, but he is easily distracted and settles with guidance. Once out and about Like many Shepherds, he will occasionally bark if an unfamiliar person takes him by surprise, but give him a minute to process things and he soon comes around, showing his friendly side. Cairo walks nicely on the lead alongside other dogs and can sometimes enjoy interacting with them, while at other times he is perfectly happy to disengage and continue on his way. He can have walking buddies, but we feel he would be best suited to being the only dog in his new home for now.
