Cairo busca un hogar comprensivo que le dé tiempo para asentarse, ayudarle a ganar confianza y continuar su socialización positiva con otros perros. Su nueva familia debe estar dispuesta a ofrecerle orientación constante, paciencia y refuerzo positivo, ayudándole a navegar el mundo mientras le permite tomar buenas decisiones a su propio ritmo. Es particularmente importante que continúe su socialización, ya que nos ha demostrado que puede ser muy bueno con otros perros cuando se le dan las oportunidades adecuadas. Cairo tiene mucho potencial y nos encantaría verlo dejar atrás la vida en el refugio y disfrutar de la comodidad y seguridad de un hogar propio. Si tienes experiencia con pastores, disfrutas saliendo y sobre, y puedes ofrecerle a Cairo el tiempo, estructura y comprensión que necesita, podría ser el maravilloso compañero que has estado buscando. Cairo es un pastor de 1 año y 5 meses de edad y dulce naturaleza que está encontrando la vida en el refugio un poco estresante, aunque está lidiando bien a pesar de esto. Puede ser un poco emocionado cuando sale de su jaula, pero se distrae fácilmente y se calma con orientación. Una vez que está fuera y de paseo. Al igual que muchos pastores, ocasionalmente ladra si una persona desconocida lo toma por sorpresa, pero dale un minuto para procesar las cosas y pronto se calma, mostrando su lado amigable. Cairo camina bien con correa junto a otros perros y a veces disfruta interactuar con ellos, mientras que en otras ocasiones está perfectamente feliz de desconectarse y seguir su camino. Puede tener compañeros de paseo, pero creemos que sería mejor que sea el único perro en su nuevo hogar por ahora.

Cairo is looking for an understanding home that will give him time to settle, help him build confidence and continue his positive socialisation around other dogs. His new family should be prepared to offer consistent guidance, patience and positive reinforcement, helping him navigate the world while allowing him to make good choices at his own pace. It is particularly important that his socialisation continues, as he has shown us that he can be very good around other dogs when given the right opportunities. Cairo has so much potential, and we would love to see him leave kennel life behind and enjoy the comfort and security of a home of his own. If you have experience with Shepherds, enjoy getting out and about, and can offer Cairo the time, structure and understanding he needs, he could be the wonderful companion you have been looking for! Cairo is a sweet-natured 1-year-and-5-month-old Shepherd who is finding kennel life a little stressful, although he is coping well despite this. He can be a little excitable when first coming out of his kennel, but he is easily distracted and settles with guidance. Once out and about Like many Shepherds, he will occasionally bark if an unfamiliar person takes him by surprise, but give him a minute to process things and he soon comes around, showing his friendly side. Cairo walks nicely on the lead alongside other dogs and can sometimes enjoy interacting with them, while at other times he is perfectly happy to disengage and continue on his way. He can have walking buddies, but we feel he would be best suited to being the only dog in his new home for now.
