Dec ist ein glücklicher, freundlicher 3-jähriger Greyhound, der nach seinem Rennsport eine Familie sucht. Er liebt Menschen und mag es zu rennen und zu erkunden. Braucht der einzige Haustier zu sein aufgrund eines hohen Jagdtriebs – nicht geeignet für Katzen oder kleine Tiere. Gut mit Kindern im Grundschulalter, die mit großen, lebhaften Hunden vertraut sind. Benötigt einen sicheren Garten für Bewegung und muss an der Leine mit Maulkorb geführt werden. Benötigt Unterstützung beim Anpassen an das Zuhause und bevorzugt zunächst im Schlafzimmer der Familie zu schlafen. Hat eine handhabbare medizinische Bedingung, die eine langfristige Schmerzmedikation erfordert.

Dec is a happy, friendly boy who adores spending time with people and having the opportunity to run around and explore. He will make a wonderful addition to a family willing to help him adjust to home life. Dec is a handsome 3 year old Greyhound looking for a family to show him the home comforts now he has retired from racing. He would like to be the only pet in the home but could have some doggy friends to socialise with on walks. Due to his high prey drive, he would not be suitable to live with cats or small furries. Dec is a friendly boy who could join a home with children of Primary School Age who are comfortable around larger dogs that can be excitable. Dec is likely not used to home life and will need support with settling into his new home routine and having leaving hours built up. He loves people and would like a home where his family is happy for him to sleep nearby or are willing to sleep downstairs with him initially until he is settled. As an ex-racer, he will need to be walked on lead and muzzled when outside of the home so would benefit from a secure garden so he has somewhere for zoomies! Dec has a medical condition which is well managed with pain relief which will need to continue long term, we can discuss this with you if you are found to be a match.
