Bruma wurde zuerst gesehen, als sie schwanger auf der Straße war. Menschen hatten versucht, sie einige Zeit zu fangen, ohne Erfolg. Sie brachte ein Welpen zur Welt und kurz darauf konnte sie mit ihrem Welpen gefangen werden. Sie kam in eine Pflegefamilie und hat sich sehr gut geschlagen. Sie ist ein wirklich süßer kleiner Hund – sehr ruhig und sanft. Sie freut sich über Aufmerksamkeit von Fremden und obwohl sie nicht nach Zärtlichkeit sucht, ist sie nicht ängstlich oder besorgt von Fremden. Wir haben sie im Februar in Spanien kennengelernt und sie war sehr süß. Sie geht gut an der Leine und ist allgemein sehr gut erzogen. Sie ist gut mit anderen Hunden, kann aber auch als Einzelhund leben. Sie könnte mit respektvollen Kindern ab 8 Jahren leben, die etwas ruhiger sind. Wir denken nicht, dass sie unbedingt einen Garten benötigt, aber wahrscheinlich glücklicher außerhalb eines belebten Stadtzentrums wäre. Sie wurde auf Katzen getestet, aber wir können dies arrangieren. Bruma wird kastriert, geimpft und negativ auf alle mediterranen Krankheiten getestet. Our partner shelter heard of two young abandoned podencos alone and close to a road. The shelter team went to search and after hearing that the other podenco had already been rescued, Bruma was finally found, rescued and taken to the safety of the shelter. Bruma was checked by the vet and found to be healthy. It is early days but she is adjusting to life at the shelter. She is great with other dogs and loves attention from the volunteers. Bruma would like a family and home of her own. She enjoys playing with other dogs but also enjoys affection from people so as long as she received the attention she deserves then she could live as an only dog. Although Bruma is settling well, she is still very young and learning about the world. Everything is new to her — routines, people, sounds, boundaries — and she’ll need adopters who can guide her gently through this stage. Podenco youngsters are bright, sensitive and full of energy, and Bruma is no exception. She’ll thrive with structure, patience and plenty of positive experiences to help her grow into a confident adult.. Podenco puppies/adolescents are very cute, but they need consistent training, patience and understanding especially through the adolescent phase where we find a lot of people tend to struggle. If you apply to adopt a podenco puppy, please ensure you have properly thought through the challenges you might face whilst they mature into a wonderful adult where you can then reap the rewards of your hard work. It is a wonderful experience to bring up a pod puppy, but it is not for the faint hearted! Bruma will be vaccinated and tested for all Mediterranean diseases. She is passported and available for adoption now (for the UK she can travel at 6 months old for EU she can travel at 4 months old). She will also require neutering at the appropriate age.
