Bruma upptäcktes först när hon var gravida på gatan. Folk hade försökt fånga henne i en tid utan att lyckas. Hon gav upp sitt ungar och ett tag senare kunde hon fångas tillsammans med sin valp. Hon tog emot fosterföräldrar och har gjort det mycket bra. Hon är en riktigt snäll liten hund – mycket lugn och mild. Hon tycker om att få omsorg från främlingar och även om hon inte söker efter kärlek, är hon inte rädd eller orolig för främlingar. Vi träffade henne i februari i Spanien och hon var super snäll. Hon går fint på lejon och är allmänt väldigt väluppfostrad. Hon är god med andra hunder, men kan också bo som enda hund. Hon kan bo med respektfulla barn 8+ som är lite lugnare. Vi tror inte att hon nödvändigtvis behöver ett trädgård, men säkert skulle vara glädjare utanför en intensiv stadsmiljö. Hon är testad mot katter men vi kan ordna detta. Our partner shelter heard of two young abandoned podencos alone and close to a road. The shelter team went to search and after hearing that the other podenco had already been rescued, Bruma was finally found, rescued and taken to the safety of the shelter. Bruma was checked by the vet and found to be healthy. It is early days but she is adjusting to life at the shelter. She is great with other dogs and loves attention from the volunteers. Bruma would like a family and home of her own. She enjoys playing with other dogs but also enjoys affection from people so as long as she received the attention she deserves then she could live as an only dog. Although Bruma is settling well, she is still very young and learning about the world. Everything is new to her — routines, people, sounds, boundaries — and she’ll need adopters who can guide her gently through this stage. Podenco youngsters are bright, sensitive and full of energy, and Bruma is no exception. She’ll thrive with structure, patience and plenty of positive experiences to help her grow into a confident adult.. Podenco puppies/adolescents are very cute, but they need consistent training, patience and understanding especially through the adolescent phase where we find a lot of people tend to struggle. If you apply to adopt a podenco puppy, please ensure you have properly thought through the challenges you might face whilst they mature into a wonderful adult where you can then reap the rewards of your hard work. It is a wonderful experience to bring up a pod puppy, but it is not for the faint hearted! Bruma will be vaccinated and tested for all Mediterranean diseases. She is passported and available for adoption now (for the UK she can travel at 6 months old for EU she can travel at 4 months old). She will also require neutering at the appropriate age.
