Ο Floyd είναι ένα μεσαίου μεγέθους σκύλος πολλαπλής φυλής ηλικίας 3-4 ετών. Δεν έχει δοκιμαστεί για αρνητική συμπεριφορά προς τα γάτα. Απαιτεί ιδιοκτήτη κατοικίας. Ευγενικά παιδιά 10 και άνω. Ο Floyd διασώθηκε από ένα ιδιωτικό φιλανθρωπικό καταφύγιο στη Ρουμανία όταν ήταν μόλις τριών μηνών. Λυπηρά, ποτέ δεν έλαβε πρόταση για συμπαράσταση και έχει περάσει όλη τη ζωή του σε περιβάλλον καταφυγίου. Ο Floyd είναι ένας τσακαλιστός και χαρούμενος νεαρός που πάντα μας χαρίζει χαμόγελα. Είναι λίγο απρόθυμος να δεχτεί ανθρώπινη επαφή, απλά λόγω έλλειψης χρόνου που έχει περάσει μαζί του στα χρόνια για να προσφέρει πραγματική ανθρώπινη επαφή. Είναι πολύ ευχαριστημένος να βρίσκεται κοντά στους ανθρώπους του, και δίνει την πιο ενθουσιαστική χαιρετισμό που θα δείτε ποτέ. Ο Floyd θα ήθελε άλλο σκύλο στο σπίτι του και θα χρειαστεί έναν άλλο σκύλο στο σπίτι για την πάντοτε ζωή του. Μπορεί να ζήσει με ευγενικά παιδιά ηλικίας 10 και άνω. Όροι και προϋποθέσεις δωρεάςΌταν αποκτήσετε ένα σκύλο από το Safe Rescue, ΠΡΕΠΕΙ να χρησιμοποιήσετε ένα ασφαλές σχοινί. Αυτό θα κρατήσει τον σκύλο σας ασφαλή: ο νέος σας σκύλος θα είναι ιδιαίτερα νευρικός και δεν θα έχει εμπιστοσύνη σε εσάς, και δεν ξέρετε ποιες καταστάσεις θα τον καταπονήσουν. Αν ο σκύλος σας υποφέρει, τότε το ασφαλές σχοινί είναι η μόνη πιθανότητα να αποφύγετε την τρομοκρατία του (πολλοί σκύλοι μπορούν να εξαφανιστούν από τα αναπαραγωγικά ή τα φορέματα). Θα πάρει ΤΟΛΜΗΤΑ 3-6 μήνες για να ξεκινήσει ο σκύλος σας και να γνωρίσετε τον σκύλο σας πλήρως (περισσότερο για τους νευρικούς σκύλους). Το ασφαλές σχοινί θα πρέπει ΑΥΣΤΗΡΑ να χρησιμοποιείται κατά τη διάρκεια αυτής της περιόδου της εισαγωγής. Floyd was rescued from a kill shelter in Romania when he was just three months old. Sadly he never got a home offer and has spent all of his life in a shelter environment. Floyd is a cheeky and smiley boy who always makes us smile. He’s a little hand shy simply through lack of time spent with him over the years to offer actual human contact. He’s very happy to be around his people though and gives the most enthusiastic happy dance greetings you’ll ever see. Floyd enjoys the company of other dogs and will need another resident dog in his forever home. He could live with respectful children aged ten plus. Senior dogs (10+ years): £150–£250 (depending on age and individual needs). Adoption Terms & Conditions When you adopt a Safe Rescue dog, you MUST use a slip lead. This will keep your dog safe: your new dog will be nervous and will not trust you, and you will not know which situations might upset your dog. If your dog panics, then a slip lead is the only way to prevent your dog from escaping (many dogs can escape from a collar and/or harness). It will take AT LEAST 3-6 months for your dog to settle-in and for you to know your dog fully (longer for nervous dogs). The slip lead must ALWAYS be used during this settling-in period. Even after your dog is settled, it is safest to use the slip lead in situations where your dog may become scared (e.g. visiting new places, around unfamiliar people, at the vet), and it situations where unexpected triggers might happen (e.g. around bonfire night). Nervous dogs may always need to wear a slip-lead as a back-up safety measure. The slip lead is a safety device and must NEVER be used as a training tool. Using the lead to apply pressure to the dog’s neck is damaging. If your dog pulls on the lead, then we can advise you on training methods that avoid harm. Once your dog is settled, you may want to consider using a harness (together with the slip lead) if your dog is comfortable with being handled when it is fitted. Most harnesses are not escape-proof, but harnesses with a strap behind the ribcage (e.g. Ruffwear Webmaster or Perfect Fit Harnesses) are safer. Retractable / extendable leads must never be used on our dogs. Adopted dogs must be collected from the rescue and transported straight home in a secure metal crate.
