Floyd è stato salvato da un rifugio di uccisione in Romania quando aveva appena tre mesi. Purtroppo non ha mai ricevuto una proposta di adozione e ha trascorso tutta la sua vita in un ambiente di rifugio. Floyd è un ragazzo vivace e sorridente che ci fa sempre sorridere. È un po' timido con le mani semplicemente per mancanza di tempo passato con lui negli anni per offrire un vero contatto umano. Tuttavia è molto felice di stare con le persone e dà gli abbracci più entusiasti che tu possa mai vedere. Floyd ama la compagnia di altri cani e avrà bisogno di un altro cane residente nella sua casa definitiva. Potrebbe vivere con bambini rispettosi di 10 anni in su. Se sei interessato, invia un messaggio o chiama tra le 9:00 e le 17:00 dal lunedì al venerdì o tra le 9:00 e le 16:00 il sabato. Le spese di adozione sono: Cuccioli già castrati e tutti i cani adulti: £430. Cuccioli non castrati con contratti di castrazione: £530 (riceverai un rimborso di £100 una volta che ci invierai la prova della castrazione). Cani anziani (10+ anni): £150-£250 (in base all'età e alle esigenze individuali). Condizioni e termini di adozione Quando adotti un cane di Safe Rescue, DEVI usare una guinzaglio a scivolo. Questo terrà sicuro il tuo cane: il tuo nuovo cane sarà nervoso e non ti farà fiducia, e non saprai quali situazioni potrebbero agitare il tuo cane. Se il tuo cane si spaventa, allora il guinzaglio a scivolo è l'unico modo per evitare che scappi (molti cani possono sfuggire da collari e/o imbracature). Ci vorranno ALMENO 3-6 mesi perché il tuo cane si abitui e per conoscerlo pienamente (più a lungo per i cani nervosi). Il guinzaglio a scivolo deve essere SEMPRE utilizzato durante questo periodo di adattamento. Anche dopo che il tuo cane si è abituato, è più sicuro utilizzare il guinzaglio a scivolo in situazioni in cui il cane potrebbe spaventarsi (ad esempio visitare luoghi nuovi, intorno a persone sconosciute, dal veterinario), e in situazioni dove potrebbero verificarsi trigger inaspettati (ad esempio durante la notte del falò). I cani nervosi potrebbero dover indossare sempre un guinzaglio a scivolo come misura di sicurezza aggiuntiva. Il guinzaglio a scivolo è un dispositivo di sicurezza e deve MAI essere utilizzato come strumento di addestramento. Applicare pressione sul collo del cane con il guinzaglio è dannoso. Se il tuo cane tira il guinzaglio, possiamo consigliarti metodi di addestramento che evitino danni. Floyd is a medium sized crossbreed aged three to four years old. Not yet cat tested. Needs resident dog. Respectful children 10 plus. Floyd was rescued from a kill shelter in Romania when he was just three months old. Sadly he never got a home offer and has spent all of his life in a shelter environment. Floyd is a cheeky and smiley boy who always makes us smile. He’s a little hand shy simply through lack of time spent with him over the years to offer actual human contact. He’s very happy to be around his people though and gives the most enthusiastic happy dance greetings you’ll ever see. Floyd enjoys the company of other dogs and will need another resident dog in his forever home. He could live with respectful children aged ten plus. Adoption Donation Fees are Puppies already neutered and all adult dogs: £430. Un-neutered puppies on spay/neuter contracts: £530 (You will receive a £100 rebate once you send us proof of neutering). Senior dogs (10+ years): £150–£250 (depending on age and individual needs). Adoption Terms & Conditions When you adopt a Safe Rescue dog, you MUST use a slip lead. This will keep your dog safe: your new dog will be nervous and will not trust you, and you will not know which situations might upset your dog. If your dog panics, then a slip lead is the only way to prevent your dog from escaping (many dogs can escape from a collar and/or harness). It will take AT LEAST 3-6 months for your dog to settle-in and for you to know your dog fully (longer for nervous dogs). The slip lead must ALWAYS be used during this settling-in period. Even after your dog is settled, it is safest to use the slip lead in situations where your dog may become scared (e.g. visiting new places, around unfamiliar people, at the vet), and it situations where unexpected triggers might happen (e.g. around bonfire night). Nervous dogs may always need to wear a slip-lead as a back-up safety measure. The slip lead is a safety device and must NEVER be used as a training tool. Using the lead to apply pressure to the dog’s neck is damaging. If your dog pulls on the lead, then we can advise you on training methods that avoid harm. Once your dog is settled, you may want to consider using a harness (together with the slip lead) if your dog is comfortable with being handled when it is fitted. Most harnesses are not escape-proof, but harnesses with a strap behind the ribcage (e.g. Ruffwear Webmaster or Perfect Fit Harnesses) are safer. Retractable / extendable leads must never be used on our dogs. Adopted dogs must be collected from the rescue and transported straight home in a secure metal crate.
