Bon Jovi is a curious, adventurous and energetic boy who loves getting out and exploring. He’s a fantastic sniffy walker who enjoys following scent trails, so quiet walks where he can take his time investigating are right up his street. He does best on a long line and will need adopters happy to continue his lead training using positive reinforcement. Play is another one of Bon Jovi’s favourite things! Squeaky toys, tuggies, fetch and catch are all firm favourites. He can become very enthusiastic during play, so his new family will need to help him develop his impulse control and learn when it’s time to switch off. Scent games, training and enrichment will all be great ways to keep his clever mind busy. Once he knows and trusts you, Bon Jovi has a lovely affectionate side. He enjoys fuss, attention and curling up beside his favourite people, although he can take a little time to build relationships. Bon Jovi is looking for a home with children aged 14+ and adopters who are confident managing his jumping and mouthing when he becomes over-excited. For now, Bon Jovi would like to be the only dog in the home, although he can enjoy walking with doggy friends following careful introductions. He’ll thrive with a predictable routine, patient adopters and a calmer environment where he can gradually build his confidence.
