Meet Milo, our incredibly fun-loving, intelligent young Lurcher who is looking for his very own adventure partner. This handsome chap is the best of both worlds – full of energy when it’s time for fun, but more than happy to spend his evenings stretched out on the sofa with his favourite people. Milo is a clever boy who absolutely loves his training, especially when tasty treats and toys are involved! He would thrive with adopters who enjoy teaching him new things and can continue making training a fun and rewarding part of everyday life. He has a lovely playful nature and enjoys having plenty of opportunities to use his brain as well as his long Lurcher legs. And speaking of those legs… Milo’s favourite activity is undoubtedly getting the chance to really stretch them! Like many Lurchers, he enjoys having a good run around and would love his own secure garden for playtimes and zoomies. He would also really appreciate adopters who are happy to seek out secure enclosed fields where he can safely enjoy a good sprint. Once he has had the chance to burn off some energy, Milo is more than ready to switch off and show you his softer side. He loves fuss, cuddles and being close to his favourite people, making him a wonderful combination of fun-loving adventurer and professional sofa snoozer! Milo can struggle with his arousal levels around other dogs, particularly when he is excited, but he is making fantastic progress. He is looking for adopters who understand that this is something he will need continued support with and who are happy to help him build on the skills he has already been learning. Milo has also been working hard on becoming comfortable wearing his muzzle, which he wears whilst out on walks. Milo could potentially share his home with another dog following successful meets at the centre. His canine companion would need to be a clear and confident communicator, as Milo can sometimes struggle to recognise when another dog has had enough of playing! A tolerant dog who can set appropriate boundaries would be important, alongside owners who are able to supervise and support their interactions. Milo could potentially live with children aged 14+ who are keen to get involved with his training and playtimes. He can become very enthusiastic when playing and, when his excitement takes over, he can sometimes forget just how long those Lurcher legs are! He is currently learning to keep all four paws on the floor and manage his excitement around people, so sensible teenagers who can understand and follow his training guidance would be best suited. Milo is a bright, affectionate and wonderfully entertaining young dog who has so much potential. With an active family who can give him plenty of opportunities to run, sniff, play and learn, while also helping him develop his self-control, we think Milo will make a fantastic companion.
