He could live with sensible secondary school-aged children who have experience around lively, bouncy dogs and who understand his excitable nature. He settles well in his kennel but is always excited when it's time to come out and explore. Basil is a curious boy who enjoys investigating new places and taking in everything around him. He is happy to be harnessed, although his enthusiasm can make him a little jumpy and excitable. He loves spending time with his handlers, enjoys plenty of fuss and attention, and is always keen to say hello to new people. His greetings can be very bouncy, so he will benefit from continued training to help him develop calmer manners when meeting visitors. Basil could potentially have calm, confident walking buddies who are comfortable around an energetic and exuberant companion. He will need ongoing socialisation to continue building positive relationships with other dogs.
