Bilu es uno de nuestros grandes gentiles que ha estado esperando en rescate mucho tiempo para ser notado. Fue rescatado en 2018. Subió a Andreea en el estacionamiento de su apartamento el 6 de diciembre de 2018. Era muy gentil y de inmediato saltó para besarla. Tenía una herida en la cabeza y se cree que su antiguo dueño le golpeó la cabeza con algo para tratar de matarlo. Lamentablemente es una práctica común en Rumanía. Tenía una cuerda vieja muy grande alrededor del cuello. Era muy gentil pero asustado... pero confió inmediatamente en Andreea. Desde entonces ha sido cuidado en el Safe Garden. Ha tenido una operación en el cuero cabelludo donde fue golpeado. No hay daño permanente. Tiene aproximadamente 11 años y es un perro grande, especialmente cuando tiene su pelaje de invierno. Pero es un gran gigante amable. Perdió a su novia de largo plazo Lucy a mediados de 2023 y ahora está bastante triste en el refugio. Realmente queremos encontrarle un hogar para sus años de retiro. Su hogar ideal sería rural o semi rural, acceso a un jardín de tamaño decente y caminatas rurales. Le encantan las personas, por lo que apreciaría a alguien que esté en casa bastante. Ya está acostumbrado al lazo.

Bilu is one of our gentle giants who has been waiting in rescue a long time to be noticed. He was rescued in 2018. He went up to Andreea in the parking lot at her apartment on Dec 6th, 2018. He was very gentle, and he just jumped up to kiss her right away. He had a wound in his head and it is believed his ex owner hit his head with something to try to kill him. Sadly it is a common practice Romania. He had a huge old rope around his neck. He was very gentle but scared ….but immediately trusted Andreea. He has been cared for ever since at the Safe Garden. He has had an operation on his scalp where he was hit. There is no lasting damage. He’s approximately 11 years old and a large dog, especially when he has his winter coat. But he is a gentle giant. He lost his long term girlfriend Lucy in mid 2023 and is now quite sad in the shelter. We really would like to find him a home for his retirement years. His ideal home would be rural or semi rural, access to a decent sized garden and rural walks. He loves people so would appreciate someone who is home a fair bit. He is already used to the lead.
