Calley is a big softie who loves being close to her people and soaking up plenty of fuss. She is a playful young dog who enjoys toys, although she is not overly bothered about them when she is in her kennel. She already knows her name and sit, and has plenty of potential for ongoing training. Her adopters will need to help her build confidence, understand her body language and support her when she feels unsure. She can be wonderfully friendly with new people, although she may occasionally need a little encouragement before deciding that everything is okay. Calley enjoys walks and particularly likes walking alongside other dogs, although can get excited when she sees them, so calm introductions will be important. She has previously only been left when other dogs were around, so alone time will need to be introduced gradually. With patient adopters who can help her confidence grow, Calley should blossom into a wonderful companion. If you love big, affectionate dogs with a playful side and plenty of potential, then you might just LOVE Calley! This beautiful Mastiff is a real people girl who loves fuss, enjoys getting out and about and is happiest when she has someone to engage with. Calley can be a little nervous in unfamiliar situations, particularly around loud or sudden noises, and sometimes looks to her handlers for a little reassurance. She is curious though, and once she feels comfortable, she loves getting out for a good sniff and exploring the world around her. Calley would be best suited to a home with secondary school-aged children and could potentially live with another dog following a successful introduction. Her new home will need a private, secure garden with 6ft fencing, as she is a big, bouncy girl who can be quite jumpy. She will also need a safe space in the home where she can retreat when she needs a little peace and quiet. Visitors in the home are absolutely fine, but a plan will be needed to help Calley feel comfortable, with access to her safe space.
