Sadly Charlie missed out on veterinary care for several months.Charlie is a sensitive, affectionate little soul who loves a head scratch. He’s had a hard life previously. He was very snuffly and with antibiotics cleared up; he is not currently on any medication but he may have future flare ups particularly if he gets stressed. When he arrived back with us this time, he was underweight, he urgently needed a dental resulting in seven extractions, also conjunctivitis so the multiple vet trips and having to give him medications has knocked his confidence but he is settling again now. We suspect that he is mostly deaf now. He has a rather loud, croaky meow! He loves his food! once he gains your trust, he is a very loyal and affectionate older gentleman who we can see would probably follow you around the house. He does have the occasional zoomie! A crinkly tinsel toy is his favourite but he is full of energy for a while afterwards 😂HISTORYOriginally arrived April 2024.Charlie had been a stray at a nursing home for four years. He became very poorly so the RSPCA were called. He was in a terrible state. His eyes and nose were gunky, he was badly matted and needed several teeth extracted. He struggled to breath too. He spent a few weeks in isolation at the lovely cattery we use where he received lots of TLC. Then he moved to a lovely foster home where he spent several months receiving further care and treatment for flu, including a nebuliser.He was already neutered. He’s been FIV/FeLV tested negative, microchipped and vaccinated. He needs a pet free home, older children would be fine. A home where he can explore the outdoors safely and securely because of his lack of hearing.If you’d be interested in sharing your home with Charlie, please fill out an application form.
