I am Claus … an Egyptian mastiff who still isn’t quite sure where to go with myself – and needs a bit more time to settle in. That’s me: new people and new environments initially unsettle me. Changes don’t come easily to me, and I need significantly longer than many other dogs to build trust and adapt to new situations. Once I feel secure, I can develop a close bond with my people. Currently, being alone is very hard for me. Therefore, someone should always be available to me during the initial period, as I otherwise become persistent in barking and overwhelmed by the situation. My new people should therefore have enough time to gently acclimate me to daily life. Additionally, I have spondylitis and coxarthrosis and need to be on a permanent pain therapy. Despite this, I enjoy walks and shared time with my people very much. I wish for … a quiet home with patient people who give me the time I need to settle in – preferably not in the most bustling city area. Hectic environments, constant changes, or long periods of being alone would not benefit me. Especially in the first weeks, someone should be available for me as much as possible. People who understand my physical limitations and can reliably continue my necessary pain therapy would be exactly right for me. Ich bin Claus … ein Pharaonenhund auf der Suche nach dem großen Glück. Im Tierheim bin ich sehr unglücklich und wünsche mir nichts sehnlicher, als endlich wieder meine(n) eigene(n) Menschen. Das bin ich: Neue Menschen und Umgebungen verunsichern mich erst einmal etwas. Wenn ich mich aber sicher fühle, entwickle ich eine enge Bindung zu meinen Menschen und schmuse auch total gern. Pharaonenhunde sind sensible Jäger – intelligent, feinfühlig und sportlich. Ich bin rassetypisch sehr aufmerksam, gelehrig und bewegungsfreudig. Ein Traum von Hund im richtigen Zuhause. Allein bleiben fällt mir aktuell noch sehr schwer. Gerade in der ersten Zeit sollte deshalb möglichst immer jemand bei mir sein können, da ich sonst belle und mit der Situation überfordert bin. Meine neuen Menschen sollten also ausreichend Zeit haben, mich behutsam an den Alltag heranzuführen. Außerdem habe ich Spondylosen und Coxarthrosen und brauche deshalb dauerhaft eine Schmerzmitteltherapie. Trotzdem genieße ich Spaziergänge und gemeinsame Zeit mit meinen Menschen sehr. Ich wünsche mir … ein ruhiges Zuhause bei geduldigen Menschen, die mir die Zeit geben, die ich zum Ankommen brauche – am besten nicht in der trubeligsten Stadtgegend.
