Adoptar a Coco

Meet Coco, a sensitive sofa-loving Lurcher with a wonderfully goofy side waiting to come out. In his previous home, Coco’s idea of a great day was fairly simple: find the comfiest spot on the sofa, have a good snooze, enjoy a snack or chewy and wander over for some affection when the mood took him. When he wants attention, he’s known for rolling around and making funny shapes until somebody notices him, and he particularly enjoys a good bum scratch. Coco can also be playful when the moment is right. He has enjoyed toys, games with his family and play with compatible dog friends, but he’s equally happy doing his own thing. He’s an independent boy who appreciates having a comfortable space where he can completely switch off. Life in kennels has been a big adjustment for Coco and initially he found unfamiliar people and surroundings very scary. With patient carers he has made lovely progress, gradually approaching for treats and affection and even leaning into trusted people when he needs a little reassurance. His new family will need to have experience with worried or sensitive dogs, give him time to settle and let him build relationships at his own pace. Coco has previously lived with children and other dogs and could do so again with the right match, specifically teenagers and a calm and independent companion. He particularly appreciates people and dogs who understand when he would rather have some space. He would also really enjoy a private garden of his own to build confidence. For a patient family who can give him security, comfortable places to snooze and plenty of time to find his feet, Coco has all the ingredients to become a very affectionate, funny and wonderfully laid-back companion.
