Her housetraining is improving, and she’s becoming more confident with new people, now accepting gentle strokes and enjoying cuddles with her foster family. She has no formal obedience yet and can be unsure of sudden movements or hands coming toward her, so positive, gentle training will suit her best. She’s a lovely companion for someone who doesn’t mind taking things at her pace and will celebrate the small steps as she discovers life can be safe, soft, and full of love. Fig is a sweet, gentle 5-year-old crossbreed who gets on brilliantly with other dogs and will need to live with a confident canine companion. She walks beautifully on the lead, settles quietly overnight, and can be left for up to four hours. Once she feels safe, Fig blossoms into an affectionate little shadow who loves snuggling on her own terms and enjoys being close to her people. She's a sensitive soul who's learning to trust the world again, so she can be nervous when meeting new people or in unfamiliar situations. With gentle handling, consistent routines, plenty of reassurance, and a cosy safe space to retreat to when she needs it, Fig's confidence continues to grow, revealing the loving, loyal companion she truly is.
