Fredi es un chico complejo que necesita dueños experimentados y comprensivos. Como con muchos rescates extranjeros, no sabemos lo que este dulce chico sufrió antes de ser encontrado. Puede ser reactivo hacia extraños y otros perros que no conoce. También ha mostrado guardián de recursos con comida. Fue adoptado por su familia actual a los 6 meses de edad. Fredi siempre ha tenido sus desafíos y ellos han hecho un gran compromiso para ayudarle a manejarlos. Inicialmente solía saltar a la gente cuando salía a caminar, pero buscaron consejos de un comportamentista y esto había mejorado enormemente. La familia tuvo otro perro durante un tiempo, y Fredi y el perro de la familia se llevaban bien, pero lamentablemente el otro perro de la familia ha muerto recientemente. Esto ha afectado mucho a pobre Fredi. Fredi sigue teniendo dificultades con perros que no conoce, pero su familia ha logrado presentarle a perros fuera de casa y cuando se hacen familiares puede relajarse con ellos. También hay perros dentro de la familia más amplia con los que juega, especialmente 3 perros grandes que son todas hembras y mantienen a Fredi "en línea", lo cual responde extremadamente bien. Camina bien en correa excepto cuando ve a otro perro, y regresa del jardín cuando lo llaman, aunque su recuperación en espacios públicos no es la mejor. Fredi ama jugar con pelotas y pasa tiempo en el jardín jugando, sin señales de guardián de recursos. Fredi también ama ir en la cinta de correr, trotando felizmente cada mañana. Aunque Fredi puede ser en la mayoría de los casos un chico maravilloso, intenta presionar límites e intenta ser dominante, y su familia actual siente que ya no pueden hacer frente. El dueño ideal de Fredi sería alguien que tenga experiencia con perros de rescate complejos que pueda hacer frente y manejar su guardián de recursos y comportamientos agresivos. Fredi is a complex boy who is in need of experienced and understanding owners. As with many foreign rescues, we do not know what this sweet boy endured before he was found. He can be reactive to strangers and other dogs he doesn’t know. He has also shown resource guarding with food. He was adopted by his current family at 6 months old. Fredi has always had his challenges and they have made a big commitment to helping him cope. Initially he would lunge at people when out for a walk but they sought behaviourist advice and this had greatly improved. The family had another dog for a while, and Fredi and their dog got on well, but sadly the family’s other dog has recently died. This has taken a toll on poor Fredi. Fredi continues to struggle with dogs he doesn’t know but his family have managed to introduce him to dogs outside the house and when they become familiar he can relax with them. There are also dogs within the wider family that he plays with, especially 3 large dogs who are all female and keep Fredi “in-line” which he responds extremely well to. He walks nicely on the lead apart from when he sees another dog, and he returns from the garden when called although his recall in public spaces is not the best. Fredi loves to play with balls and spends time in the garden playing, with no signs of resource guarding. Fredi also loves to go on the running machine happily trots on it every morning. Although Fredi can more often than not be a wonderful boy, he tries to push boundaries and tries to be dominant, and his current family feel they can no longer cope. Fredi’s ideal owner would be someone who has experience with complex rescue dogs who can cope and manage his resource guarding and aggressive behaviours.
