Personality:Everyone who meets George can’t help but fall in love with him. He settled straight away in the cattery environment making friends with everyone he meets. You will quite often find George snoozing on the top of his scratching post in his outdoor run or catching some rays and listening to the birds; although if he hears you approaching his unit he will be straight inside to say hello. Behaviour:George loves being around people and is a very social boy, which is why he is affectionately known as Gorgeous George. As soon as you sit down he loves nothing more than cuddling up on staff and volunteers laps. He also has a playful side, he enjoys playing with a variety of toys and chasing balls up and down the cattery floor. George has such a beautiful character and will make a lovely addition to the home. Housing:George will need a home with outside access to a garden. He cannot be homed in Southampton, SO18 area. Children/pets:George could live with older aged primary school children who will understand he is not a toy. He will need to be an only pet as he didn’t cope living with cats in his previous home. Vet history:George is neutered, microchipped, flea, wormed and fully vaccinated. When George came into our care he was suffering with fur loss which bloods tests confirmed is likely to have been due to a heavy parasite burden. After flea treatment and a short course of steroids to help with the itchiness, George’s fur has nearly all grown back and he is much more comfortable. It is recommended that George has vet prescribed flea and worming treatment each month to hopefully prevent any future flare ups of his skin. 4 weeks free pet insurance included with adoption. Adoption fee:The adoption fee is £100. If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated.
